Sorry for this late post. The website navigation changed and I have only just found out how blog posts are entered now.
The sun broke through before the start of Penicuik on Parade on 28th May, so shirt sleeves and waistcoats were the order of the day. The band were assisted on this occasion by some of our friends from Dalkeith Pipe Band. Thanks guys.
Good crowds for almost the entire route. First gig of the season completed successfully.
Most of the band then played at a surprise 40th Birthday party in Cramond that evening. The weather had remained excellent, so the party was being held outside. The birthday 'boy' was completely shocked when the band appeared and the band received a rousing reception from all the guests. Once the gig was complete, we were invited to stay for a bite to eat and some drinks. Excellent hospitality and a great end to the day.
